ROEFE & CoMPANY is the business
name of my law firm. I’m Marlon Roefe, the proprietor of this firm.I have
practiced law and acted as a trade mark agent in the Province of Ontario,
Canada since 1981.

My practice is geared towards meeting
the needs of my business clients, with a focus on business law, litigation,
intellectual property and Criminal and regulatory Offences.

I have been published in the area
of offshore bank secrecy and tracing proceeds of crime. In addition to the
typical areas of law usually associated with the focus of my practice, I am
able to bring the experience of having represented clients in cases involving
family law, estates and estate litigation, criminal law, false advertising,
fraud, and defamation.

During this period my practice
focused upon the needs of entrepreneurial clients. In addition to the usual
solicitors work associated with this client base, I attended to my client�s
litigation requirements.

This work included injunctions,
defence of false advertising charges, regulatory offences, gaming law, shipping
law, letters of credit, bankruptcy and creditors remedies.

1987 – 1990

ASSISTANT GENERAL COUNSEL for
RUNNYMEDE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED

I provided counsel to the directors
and employees of the corporation with respect to the corporation’s dealings
and assisted in the preparation of documentation pertaining to leases, sale
of land, sale of manufacturing business, letters of credit, trade marks, health
and safety program, assisted in labour negotiations, collective agreement
dispute resolutions process and, represented interests of the corporation
before the courts.
